Shri Shantadurga Temple is dedicated to Shantadurga, an incarnation of Goddess Jagdamba who mediated between Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva and stopped the feirceful war going on between the two. The temple houses the beautiful idol of Goddess Shantadurga flanked by the idols of Shiva and Vishnu on either side. The present structure of Shantadurga temple was built between 1713 AD to 1738 AD. Over the years, many renovations have been done to the main temple and to the temples of other deities. For the comfort of the devotees, an Agarshala [guesthouse] is also built on three sides of the temple.
