Set amid the scenic surroundings at Advolpale in North Goa, Shri Devi Sharvani Temple complex comprises of temples of Jagrut Swayambhu, Goddess Sharvani, Mahadev and Vetal with his life size image of stone and other deities. They are the family deities of Kuladaivat) of Prabhus, Naiks, Shenais (Shenoys), Dhonds and Petkars. The original temple of Goddess Sharvani is located at Salegaon. It was shifted to Ajgaon at the end of the 16th century and then to Advolpale during the rule of Portuguese. Goddess Sharvani is known for fulfilling vows of her devotees through 'Kaul Prasad'. Thousands of devotees from all across the country throng on "Vardhpan Day", "Divja Jatra Day", and the annual Jatra Day on Margashirsh Shukla in November and December when a grand procession of Goddesses is taken out in beautifully decorated chariots.
