The golden sandy Miramar Beach is situated 1 kilometer ahead of the confluence of Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea. Also known as Gasper Dias, it is the nearest beach from the capital city of Goa, Panaji. Dotted with swaying palm trees, Miramar Beach derives its name from the Portuguese word "Miramar" which stands for viewing the Sea.
